Where to get ringtones

There's basically three ways to get ringtones - pay monthly to get newest stuff and bonuses, download software to transfer them to your phone, or get them from your cell phone company (don't - I'll tell you why below). Here's a handy little breakdown of the pros and cons of each.

Monthly Subscription
Pros: You get cool bonuses for signing up. It's really easy to use, you get updated and hot new ring tones without having to download the music. You can get more than ringtones: stuff like wallpapers, horoscopes, jokes, gossip, free txt message, and other goodies.
Cons: There's a monthly subscription and usually a limit to the number of ringtones you can donwload.

Download Software
Pros: You can download unlimited ringtones to your cell phone forever without having to pay a subcription fee or per download, and you can use any part of any song you want.
Cons: You have to have the music to make it from. It takes a bit more time to slice the songs up. You don't get the bonuses of subcription services. The options are as limited as your music collection.

Cell Phone Company
Pros: Not sure.
Cons: It's usually a rip and you end up making even more money for your phone company, which is already screwing you on your phone plan. Plus they try to limit free access to other services, so to me - I'd rather not pay them any more than I have to.
